Exclusive launch at De Parma Gallery in London, Ornella Gallo Di Fortuna presents her new 2014 accessories
collection “El Paseo”.
The collection features a selection of women’s hats inspired by men’s fedoras of the 1940s and 50s combined with a modern fashion forward twist.
The look of the collection reflects a strong and free spirited woman; she is independent and has a vibrant artistic flair. She puts on the hat she has borrowed from her lover and leaves her art studio in pursuit of new adventures. She radiates attitude and sexiness in an unconventional and sophisticated way.
The colours of the collection refer to post war art with dark green, grey, black, navy blue and brown tones.
The pieces are tailored with the finest materials including cashmere, wool, silk, leather and tulle. The materials have been translated into delicate and simple shapes and balance masculine and feminine silhouettes. The details feature origami ornaments and feathers, which give the collection a refined yet contemporary feel and are the signature of the creative director.
